Welcome to the National Immunoglobulin Registry
This important database is a new Department of Health initiative. The UK is beginning to experience a shortfall in the supply of immunoglobulin which in the short-term future may well become acute. This means that some patients will inevitably be denied treatment. This registry is designed to track the delivery of immunoglobulin to provide a better understanding of the various patient populations that are being prescribed this treatment.
For some medical conditions there are no alternative treatments whereas for other patient groups the use of immunoglobulin has not fully been proven. The aim of this database is to get a better understanding of the prescribing patterns across the UK to ensure that those in greatest need are assured of the necessary supply they need.
