Caval Filter Retrieval Registry

Dear Colleagues,

As you know, there is a dearth of information in the literature regarding filter retrieval at present.  CIRSE has therefore organised this registry, which it believes is an important project and we very much hope that you will support it.

The primary end point is to assess the success of filter retrieval among the different filter types.   The secondary end points include assessing complications during retrieval and dwell time of different filter types.

All CIRSE members are invited to participate.  The registry will run for twelve months and it is hoped to obtain data on at least five hundred filter retrieval procedures.  We expect that the registry will yield information on filter retrieval success and/or complications of optional filters.

Authorship on the final paper will depend on the number of filter retrievals entered in the registry.  The five largest contributors will become authors.

Thank you for your co-operation in this important research.
